NT Labs Formaldehyde – Parasitic Infection Treatment
When to Use: NT Labs Formaldehyde is recommended when fish exhibit symptoms of parasitic infections, such as white spots along the fins and body, flicking and rubbing, gasping at the surface, or an opaque film over the body.
How to Use:
Water Quality Check:
Test your pond water using NT Labs Test Kits to ensure accurate assessment.
Dosage Preparation:
Mix the appropriate dosage in a clean bucket of pond water.
Even Distribution:
Pour the mixed solution evenly over the surface of the pond.
Treatment Duration:
Leave the treatment in the pond for 7 days.
UV Filtration:
Switch off UV filtration for 5 days during the treatment period.
Aeration:
Aerate the pond well throughout the treatment.
Repeat Dose Consideration:
If a repeat dose is deemed necessary, carefully reevaluate the diagnosis using the Diagnosis Tool. Consider alternative medications if needed.
Post-Treatment:
After 7 days, perform a partial water change before re-treating or applying a different medication if required.
Combination with Malachite:
If necessary, mix Formaldehyde with Malachite before adding to the pond. Follow the instructions provided above.
Warning:
Fish Compatibility: Do not use with orfe, rudd, tench, or sturgeon/sterlet.
Temperature Consideration: Do not use if the water temperature is above 30°C.
Weather Conditions: Do not use in hot, humid, thundery conditions.
Medication Mixing: Do not mix medications, except when combining with Malachite.
